So this will let both NVidia and Intel increase sales for data center applications. tromp wrote 2 hours 33 min ago: More discussion at URI [1]: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45288161 WatchDog wrote 2 hours 42 min ago: Doesn't feel all that long ago when Intel pushed Nvidia out of the chipset market, and how that felt almost existential for Nvidia at the time. Tables have turned a fair bit since then. andrewstuart wrote 2 hours 43 min ago: Now we know why the Lip Bu Tan CEO of Intel declared they would stop competing with Nvidia. Hard to see the government and Nvidia buying up Intel as any sort of real solution. Intel had to compete its way back to competitiveness, not this, whatever âthisâ is. lumost wrote 1 hour 56 min ago: Nvidia needs more silicon manufacturing partners to prevent TSMC from charging a significant premium. Their choices are very limited today, and almost non-existent outside of Asia. Given a real geopolitical risk and NVidiaâs current valuation - 5 billion seems cheap if it secures them an alternative manufacturing partner. richardanaya wrote 1 hour 6 min ago: Isn't it limited because TSMC is just so good at their job? I thought I read places that their error rates are lowest in the industry. bathwaterpizza wrote 1 hour 58 min ago: lunar lake is pretty good EeJee8ac wrote 32 min ago: Maybe because it is manufactured by TSMC?
